Sol Azancot de Berros

Born in Alcazarquivir Morocco, lived in France and Israel. Esther Roffe's maternal aunt (Esther Benchimol Azancot after Roffe) is fond of music and knowledged in Torah, sefaradic history, and their songs. For many years she taught Esther many of the typical songs of jews in morocco. Her contribution is of unmeasurable value.



Rigoberto Rivero

Venezuelan, businessman, and graphic designer. Friend of the Roffe family and owner of Hipergraph, a company in Caracas, Venezuela. He is the designer of all that has to do with the covers, posters, and all other graphic materials related to the albums. His profesioanlism and intrest in sefaradic music mixed to mold and create, in a graphical manner, the beauty of this historic music.



Samuel Amselem

Great friend of the Benchimol family, originally from Alcazarquivir, Morocco. With great skill he corrected and translated the piyutim (religious songs) from the Sadikim (the scholars) from hebrew to spanish in CD1 and CD2.



Daniel Grau

Venezuelan, distinguished musician and sound profesional. Has been part of the Recuerdos Sefarditas team since the seventies. Worked together with Sarino Manno to achieve the excellent sound quality in the digitally remastered 2006 edition.



Moisés Garzon Serfaty

Born in Tetuan, Morocco, migrated to Venezuela in 1958. Has published numerous articles in magazines specializing in insurance and of various themes, specially sefaradic and zionist themes. Also, he has given conferences in many countries, especially about sefaradic themes. Author of many books. President of the Israeli Assosiation of Venezuela and of the "Confederacion de Asociaciones Israelitas de Venezuela", co-founder and president of "La Federacion Sefardi Latinoamericana" (FESELA) and a permanent member of its board of executive board. He founded the Center of Sefaradic Studies of Caracas and was its president from 2001 to 2005.



Solly Levy

Studied in the University of Rabad, McGill University in Montreal, and Montreal University. He has a bachelor of arts in literatura and hispanic studies and a masters in hispanic literatura. He specialized in dramatic arts and is a french, english, and spanish translator. He was born in Tanger, Morocco and raised in Montreal, Canada. Hes worked in different areas of the sefaradic-jewish cultura of morocco, like music, its songwriters, and the dialect that the jews of northern morocco spoke, Haquetia.

He is a teacher, a man o theater, a communicator, a scholar, an actor, and a musician. He leads an excellent program in Radio Sefarad (www.radiosefarad.com). He is part of the musical group Gerineldo. For many years he has worked in the dissemination of the musical Works of Recuerdos Sefaraditas of Esther Roffe, Alfredo Rugeles, and Sarino Manno.

After his arrival in Venezuela (1955) from Morocco, Alberto wishes to formally compile all of the songs that his wife, Esther Benchimol de Roffe sung, and that they both knew from their childhood. Romantic songs, prayers, and Holiday poems that are part of the history of the Jews that were exiled from Spain in 1492.

The production of the Recuerdos Sefaraditas albums are credited to Alberto Roffe Bentolila "ZL" Part of his legacy is the result of the work on Sephardic culture that he was able to accomplish in Venezuelan soil, where he was welcomed with affection and respect.
